About the DMV Cruiser Campervan
The DMV Cruiser is a Dave and Matt Vans LV3 campervan built on the RAM ProMaster 136-inch wheelbase van. Designed with efficiency in mind, the DMV Cruiser makes the most of its compact footprint, offering everything you need to be fully off-grid in a maneuverable, comfortable, and convenient package.
The DMV Cruiser includes dual Maxxair Fans to circulate fresh air, and a Webasto Peak Heating System to stay toasty warm during chilly nights through all four seasons. The kitchen is equipped for cooking anything from grilled cheese to hearty stews, with a powerful induction cooktop, with all appropriate cookware and utensils included. Cleaning up after meals is a breeze in the sink, with onboard fresh water.
There is plenty of storage for bags and camping gear under the short queen platform bed, which is open for easy access from inside the camper.  The storage area can also serve as a cozy second sleeping area with independent LED lighting, just ask us about including an additional folding mattress. The front seats swivel to the rear to create a comfortable interior living space while in camp.
A removable second row of seats is available, which allows seating for up to four people and folds out of the way when in camp.
DMV Cruiser Features
The high interior ceiling allows plenty of room to stand, move about, or change clothes in a comfortable, well-lit space. An open storage area under the platform bed offers space to bring along all of your camping gear, and can even be used as a secondary sleeping area. An optional rear folding bench seat increases the seating capacity to up to 4 adults.
Ample Space and Amenities
The powerful lithium ion battery bank runs all of the on-board systems, with plenty left over to charge devices. Never worry about running out of juice, the van has three charging options to keep you powered: roof-top solar panel while parked in the sun, the vehicle alternator while driving, or plug-in to shore power.
Robust Power
The electric induction cooktop offers a modern cooking alternative to the campfire, and since there is no flame combustion, safety is unparalleled. Groceries and perishables are kept fresh in the efficient refrigerator, which can even freeze some ice cubes for a refreshing post-hike cocktail. After dinner, clean up in the sink using the generous freshwater tank.
Functional Kitchen
The platform bed offers plenty of space for two adults, with beautiful morning vistas through the rear door windows. Additional sleeping space is available beneath the platform bed for smaller campers with the foldout memory foam mattress. Vander campervans come standard with pillows, comforter, and sheets, unless you prefer to bring your own.
Comfortable Sleeping Options
Regardless of the season, the DMV Cruiser is well equipped to offer relief, even when the outside temperatures do not cooperate. An integrated heater safely keeps the cabin at a toasty temperature in the fall and winter months, while two powerful roof vent fans circulate fresh air during the heat of summer. The side windows open with integrated screens to bring in even more fresh air without inviting the bugs in.Â

Clear and stress-free.
The camper is very easy to operate, and the all-electric system (without LPG) is super handy. Thanks to the induction hob a delicious coffee in the morning in no time. And cooking food was also a pleasure.
Justin gave us all the explanations in a clear and stress-free way. And he was always available for questions, and even gave suggestions for trips for our vacation.

We rented the DMV Cruiser from Vander Outdoors for 10 days. We extensively explored the beautiful Shenandoah National Park, and its beautiful hikes. Also the DC region and the banks of the Potomac River (with the many Bald Eagles).
The DMV Cruiser is a very nice campervan. Two adults, and our teenage son had more than enough space. The campervan is compact enough to park in any parking spot without worries, even just to explore Washington DC at your own pace. Much easier than with public transport.
