Cascade - The Swiss Army Knife: Many Functions in a Small Package
Drivable and Fuel Efficient, our Cascade campervan is perfect for road trips and exploring! Built on the RAM Promaster City, this camper dynamo is the size of a compact SUV, which makes driving in traffic or parking in tight spaces a breeze.
The little traveler achieves excellent fuel economy (almost 30mpg highway) compared to other recreational vehicle options. The comfortable full-size bed helps you rest up for the next day's adventures, a 12V refrigerator to keep \provisions fresh, and a the sink and fresh water tank let you clean up after a long day.
Equipped with USB ports and a 400W inverter that is perfect for powering small appliances or your laptop's charging brick, you can stay powered up regardless of how far afield your travels take you. There are three ways to charge the camping battery: the solar panel on the roof, a plug-in extension cord, or the engine charges it while you are driving. In any situation, the Cascade is equipped to make sure you have all the power you need.
While the campervan is insulated, it does not have a camping heater, so we consider it primarily a three-season camper. For those interested in cold-weather camping in the Cascade camper, 12V electric heated blankets are available to take some of the chill off.

Driveable and Fuel Efficient
The Cascade battery bank powers all of the campervan’s essential systems, as well as your own charging needs. The vehicle’s alternator charges the battery bank while driving, and the rooftop solar panel tops off the battery while in camp. USB-A outlets and a small power inverter are available to power your own small devices.
Ample Power
Meals can be prepared on the one-burner butane stove, while the refrigerator keeps provisions and perishables fresh. Fill the sink from the freshwater tank to wash dishes or brush teeth.
Functional Kitchen
Waste no time getting ready for bedtime. The couch slides out into a full-sized bed in seconds, so you can spend more time camping and less time setting up camp. Convenient blackout curtains easily slide across the windows for discretion and privacy while in camp.
Slide-Out Bed
Pack gear, food, or clothing in the five under-bed storage bins that slide away when not in use. Even more storage is available in cabinets under the sink. A linear storage area makes it easy to tuck away ski equipment, fishing rods, or walking sticks. For longer trips, an optional roof cargo box can secure baggage and gear out of the way, freeing up more interior space.

We had a great time renting the Vanpire Weekend van from Vander Outdoors for a week in October. We took it from Washington DC to West Virginia for the week to go hiking, stargazing, and enjoy living in a van for a week. Justin from Vander Outdoors was super responsive anytime we had a question, gave a thorough walkthrough when we first got the van keys, and was professional the whole time. The van itself was relatively small compared to other RVs but fit my 6’3″ husband and myself (5’5″) easily with enough food and gear for the week. Driving it was similar to driving a mini van. Highly recommend as a convenient alternative to tent camping.

We (2 adults + medium sized dog) rented a Vander Cascade campervan for an incredible 2 week roundtrip from DC to OKC in summer 2023. Justin provided so many great tips and answered all of our questions thoroughly, including good ideas for safe travel with our dog. The Cascade van was thoughtfully outfitted, and we were glad we took advantage of some additional add-ons given the length of our trip (cargo box, awning, and camping shower). This was our first experience with a camper van, and we look forward to future trips with Vander!

The fold down bed was plenty comfortable.
Reasonable price for a really well equipped little van. We’re both pretty large people and slept comfortably with a medium sized dog. The smaller van drove great and was much more comfortable to drive than one of the really large camper vans. The layout of the van was awesome and really maximized the available space. The fold down bed was plenty comfortable. The van was nice and super clean when we got it and Justin did a great job of walking us through all the features. I would absolutely rent a van from them again for another weekend trip.

We wanted to rent a van like this for a 3 day weekend + wedding, to both (a) live van life, and (b) save money on a car rental & hotel. This is definitely a fun, exciting, economical way to travel, especially due to the van being very gas efficient.
He was early to our meeting point, gave us a thorough yet efficient overview of the van and all the useful amenities (cookware, stove, sink, excellent fridge/freezer, great magnetic night shades, lights & night lights, and more).
