We have curated add-on equipment, camping gear, and services that can be added to your trip reservation to meet specific needs or preferences. Our campervans are already very well equipped for basic camping experiences, but not everyone has the same interests, so these add-ons can be tailored to your travel requirements.  Whether you need an alternate handover location to accommodate schedules, traffic, or your arrival plans, we have other locations available. Or if you need some extra piece of equipment or gear to really make the trip work, check out what we have to offer below.
When you are ready to reserve your trip, you will be able to select these add-ons during the checkout process.
Handover Locations
Start your campervan adventure as soon as you land! A Vander representative will meet you at the arrivals lane at National Airport (DCA) to conduct orientation and key handover. One-way only, purchase two if you would like to conduct departure and return at the airport.

Start and end your trip from the western terminus of the metro Orange Line. Easy access to I-66 and I-495. Multi-day parking available in the WMATA commuter parking garage on site. One-way only; for both departure and return, purchase 2 of this option.

Start and end your trip from the southern terminus of the metro Blue Line. Easy access to I-95 and I-495. Multi-day parking available in the WMATA commuter parking garage on site. One-way only; for both departure and return, purchase 2 of this option.

Start your trip as soon as you get off the train. A Vander representative will meet you at the entrance to historic Union Station in downtown DC to conduct orientation and key handover. One-way only; for both departure and return, purchase 2 of this option.

If you want some extra power for your travels, the Jackery Explorer 1000 delivers quiet, clean, and efficient power to your campsite. Includes the 1000W power center, 2 x 100W foldable solar panels, required connectors, and carrying bag.

Having options available can provide peace of mind. Includes a Thetford PortaPotti 135 chem toilet. Collapsible privacy shelter available upon request. Cascade and DMV Cruiser models only. NOTE: renters are encouraged to dump the black water tank, we will do it for you with a $250 dump fee.

Add a portable propane hot shower to rinse off after a long day of hiking and adventuring. Includes the Camplux Nano 3 hot water heater with accessories, a 7-gallon fresh water reservoir, and a 1-lb propane canister.

Add a swing-away, hitch-mounted bicycle rack to your reservation. If you prefer to use your own bicycle rack, this package removes the hitch lock. Please send the manufacturer and model as soon as possible so we can confirm compatibility.
