Vander is a veteran-owned small business in the Washington, DC area. We are dedicated to offering affordable, convenient options for unique and experiential travel. In our experience, travel is most rewarding when the destination is just another stop on the journey. Campervans have given us the flexibility to stop and take in unexpected vistas and roadside attractions that would otherwise be missed.
Our Story
Vander began as a father-son road trip from California to Washington, DC in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Father and son spent over a month on the road, logging into virtual school from the back of a campervan in the early mornings, then exploring America and the great outdoors for rest of the day. We wanted to bring this unique type of travel experience to the mid-Atlantic region.
The Washington, DC area is a convenient jumping off point for great outdoor destinations in Shenandoah National Park, New River Gorge National Park, down the Blue Ridge Parkway to the Great Smoky Mountains, up the coast to Acadia National Park, or just out to the shore for a long beach weekend. Vander provides customers safe, reliable, clean, and affordable campervan adventures.
